If you like a little extra space when you’re travelling but don’t want to scrimp on the luxury of a classic hotel, the Galeon Playa Apartments have got you covered. There’s a mix of one and two-bedroom apartments, and they’re all modern, bright and spacious. Each one comes with a living area and kitchenette, as well. You’ll find the hotel just a couple of minutes’ walk from the sands of Playa del Jabillo, and the plus-sized beach at Playa de las Cucharas is within a 10-minute walk.
Take a wander around the hotel’s grounds and you’ll find four pools to dip into when you’re cooling off between sunbathing sessions. Two of them are shallower and perfect for kids. There are also separate clubs for babies, little ones and older kids, each with their own line-up of age-specific activities. There’s an indoor soft play area and an outdoor playground, too, so there’s no chance of children running out of things to do. Grownups aren’t left out of the fun, either – you can get involved with aqua aerobics, pool, ping pong and squash.
You won’t go hungry here, with a buffet restaurant that serves up international dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There’s often show cooking, too, so you can watch your food go from pan to plate. There’s also a separate section of the buffet for little ones, where they can choose their own food. Plus, the poolside snack bar means drinks and snacks are never in short supply during the day.
