The Jupiter Algarve couldn’t be in a better spot. It’s in the heart of Praia de Rocha, just footsteps from the resort’s soft, honey-hued sands and the same distance from the nearest bars and restaurants. In other words, it’s a top choice if you want to be in the thick of the action.
The hotel itself is ultra-modern. Interiors are contemporary and minimalist, while facilities are well-rounded – there’s the age-restricted tranquil Soul Spa for unwinding on another level, complete with indoor pool, plus a brilliant fitness centre if you fancy working up a sweat. Outside, you’ll find a good-size covered pool with a lovely view of the beach. Pool towels are handed out, and there’s a bar for light bites and cocktails.
Expect tasty buffet spreads in the hotel’s restaurant. It’s an international selection, but regular dishes include pasta and fresh seafood, along with local specialities. If you fancy a change of scene, you’re less than a minute’s walk from the resort’s eateries, which tick off every cuisine – from Portuguese to Mexican.
Evenings are fairly low-key at the Jupiter Algarve, as guests are so close to the area’s nightspots. That said, you’ll be treated to live music shows a couple of times a week in summer, with solo singers, guitarists and bands on the agenda.
